La Fustera Beach
Only a 5 minute walk to this very nice quiet blue flag beach with nearby bars and restaurants.

Further Afield (short car journey)

The beaches that you pass on the way to La Fustera are very good, with many shops and restaurants, in particular on your right when traveling from Calpe towards La Fustera, between the rock (Penon d'Ifach), and Hotel Esmerlda, is Fosa playa (beach).

For seafood lovers a visit to the port is a must (the other side of the rock from La Fustera), with an abundance of restaurants, selling just caught fish at really keen prices. Next to the port is a smaller, but equally nice beach.

A day trip by car

Calpe Rock
For the fairly active, it is possible to walk to the top of “The Rock” or Penon d’Ifach. Start early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day, wear stout shoes and take plenty of water, the views are stunning and well worth the effort. The entrance to the park is near the port, and is well signposted.

Calpe old town
Walled town, with many quaint restaurants, and bars.

Guadelest
For a day away from the beach, try Guadalest for fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.

CactusLandia
Cactus garden, and exotic birds (Parrots, cockatoos etc).

Algar falls
A series of natural waterfalls and pools, great fun for the whole family, Many good restaurants nearby, with swimming pools.

Jalon
Here you can buy wine directly from the wine growers at the local Bodega co-operative. They will fill your wine bottles from huge barrels for a few pence. Bring your own bottles to save even more money.
A flea market is held on Saturday mornings, and there is a municipal swimming pool for when it gets too hot (summer months only)!

Alfas de Pi
On the road to Benidorm, there is a medieval tournament show, with jousting.  After midnight the same place is used for a terror disco

Markets
Don’t forget to haggle!, Towels & leather goods are usually a bargain.
